Stratford wood engraver and bookwright Gerard Brender à Brandis, one of Canada’s finest contemporary printmakers, prints his work on an 1865 Albion press (in his 1866 house), similar to the presses used by William Morris. His work may be found at the National Gallery and National Library, Ottawa, Royal Botanical Gardens, Hamilton, Metropolitan Toronto Library and among many other important public and private collections, including Gallery Stratford.
