Standing-Room-Only: “Under This Roof” Success at Gallery Stratford

What a night! Our screening of the documentary Under This Roof packed Gallery Stratford to capacity as part of their lively “Third Thursday / Artist Lounge: Conversations About Art” series — our first collaboration with the gallery and hopefully not our last.

Highlights from the Evening

Guests of honour: Gerard Brender à Brandis, Marianne Brandis, and Lucinda Jones were in attendance.

Warm welcome: Nancy Musselman gave a delightful introduction to both the Historical Society and the film, setting the perfect tone for the evening.

Thanks to Our Volunteers

This event was powered entirely by volunteers. Special appreciation to the Stratford & District Historical Society executive members who joined us: Andrew C. Brown (film director), Pat and Lorne Bolton, Michele Bailey, Kathleen Freeman (special thanks for taking photos of the event), and former president Jayne Trachsel. Your dedication—and the public’s enthusiastic support—keeps our mission alive.

And special thanks to Robert Windrum, director/curator of Gallery Stratford and the very helpful staff for welcoming us, providing an excellent venue for the screening.

What’s Next

Collaborating with Stratford venues like Gallery Stratford lets us bring history to life in fun, engaging ways. We’re energized by this success and can’t wait to team up with more local organizations in the months ahead — stay tuned for more events celebrating our shared past.
